NeNe Leakes Reveals Wendy Williams Former Husband Kevin Hunter Blocked Her Talk Show From Airing!
As it turns out, NeNe Leakes could have had her own reality TV show if not for Wendy Williams’ former husband, Kevin Hunter. Apparently, the Real Housewives of Atlanta star had a spin-off in the works on the same network that produces the Wendy Williams talk show.
That being said, it seems like the man decided to ‘scrap’ the idea before it could air at the time.
While a guest on The Breakfast Club earlier today, NeNe revealed everything about this, insisting that as far as she is concerned, the reason why she did not get her own talk show was her friend, Wendy Williams’ ex husband himself!
This reveal came after hosts Charlamagne Tha God, Angela Yee and DJ Envy asked NeNe about her friendship with Wendy Williams.
As fans know, Wendy and Kevin, who also used to be her talk show’s executive producer put an end to their longtime marriage after he had a baby with his mistress.
‘Now, I’m not trying to start s**t, but I remember you were supposed to have a talk show with Debmar-Mercury, which also produces ‘The Wendy Show’ and Wendy and Kevin blocked that,’ Charlamagne said, prompting NeNe to say: ‘You so crazy,’ as she smirked.
Asked if she thinks the formerly married pair ‘blocked’ her talk show from airing, she responded that she did indeed ‘think so.’
Angela Yee then wondered if NeNe had ever confronted Wendy about it to which NeNe responded negatively.

However, the Real Housewives celeb then made sure to clarify that ‘I think it was her husband. He was never nice to me. I do not think that he ever wanted me to be around, so that is fine. I am sure that he was the person to go and get it stopped, like, ‘It is either her or Wendy.’ They already had a lot of money in Wendy and the show was already on. In my eyes I would have done the same thing. If I know this show’s already successful, I’d just stick with the show that is already successful.’
